The Menus section is one of the most important in TecnoCMS, since it is where we can create the main and secondary links of our website (it is important to make a link scheme before starting our website).
Within this option we will see some well-differentiated areas:
- In zone 1 we can create one or more menus, it is the first step we must take.
- In area 2 we are going to see a schematic representation of those pages or links that we have added to our menu, to organize the menu, we simply have to click and drag. To create a submenu we must position the page or link immediately below the main item and drag it to the right.
- In zone 3 there are various options that we explain below:
- Pages: We can select the Pages that we want to add to our menu, we simply have to check the corresponding boxes and click on “add to menu”.
- Entries: We can select the Entries that we want to add to our menu, we simply have to check the corresponding boxes and click on “add to menu”.
- Custom links: Used to add an external link to our website (e.g. www.google.es), although we can also use it to create an empty link that contains a submenu (e.g. : #) for which we can place the pound symbol at the beginning of it and give it a name in the URL and text field.
- Categories: We can select the Categories that we want to add to our menu, we simply have to check the corresponding boxes and click on “add to menu”.
- Tags: We can select the Tags that we want to add to our menu, we simply have to check the corresponding boxes and click on “add to menu”.
- Others: It is possible that, depending on the scope of the project associated with your TecnoCMS, there are more options to add to the menus that are associated with other additional modules.
- In area 4, which appears when clicking on the “Manage Locations” tab, it is possible to define the location of the menu in the used theme. In most themes we will only have a main menu, this is where we must tell TecnoCMS that the menu we want on our website is the one we have created in zone 1.
